Rob and his team renovated our kitchen, living room, and dining room which included taking down walls and adding a steel beam to make an open-concept kitchen/living area. The workmanship, customer service, and organization of the project was outstanding. And I loved the fact that I was able to view the details and timing of our renovation daily through an App.

Our Project Manager, Nick, was with us throughout the project. He was extremely professional, always available to answer questions, and ensured the work being completed was done with quality and timely. Rob’s crew was led by Sergio. Sergio and the team treated our home like it was their own. They took extra care to block off the remaining parts of our home from dust and cleaned up after themselves each day. The team took pride in their work, always making sure the small details were taken care of. We couldn’t be happier with Fair & Square Contracting and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I recently hired Fair and Square Contracting to change the siding of my home. I was very impressed with Rob from the moment my husband and I met him for an estimate. The price was competitive and fair but what closed the deal for us was Rob’s integrity and work ethic. Needless to say, we made the right choice. His contracting crew were skilled, efficient and friendly. All of our needs were met and my house looks beautiful right down to the finest detail. Great experience. Rob and Jay were consummate professionals throughout the duration of the project. They completed each aspect of our remodel on time (if not ahead of schedule), and on budget. Reasonable prices on materials and labor. No big surprises, and best of all, NO hassles. Completed the project three weeks earlier than originally projected, and the house looks and functions great. We cannot say enough about the outstanding work of Rob Russo, Erin Russo and their entire team at Fair and Square! We used them for a large home renovation which included a new kitchen, dining room, living room, finished basement, windows and siding and couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Everything was completed with extreme care from the most pristine detail of the trim, crown moldings, picture frame molding on walls to the most eye-popping kitchen finishes and new doorway arches! Rob’s crew was impeccable, treating our home with care, cleaning up after themselves and coming back to ensure small little details after the project was over were thoroughly cleaned up and followed through on. They were upfront and honest with costs, kept to our budget and went above and beyond to ensure our home project was completed as if it were their own. We will definitely be using them in the future! Rob, Erin & their entire crew were amazing to work with! We had a unique experience in trusting Rob to work with designers to re-do our kitchen, living room, pantry and bathroom. Rob was always reachable to answer any and all questions even after the work was done to ensure every detail was done. Our neighbors also raved at the work ethic of the Fair & Square crew as we did not live in house during the renovation, which speaks volumes for the quality of their work. Couldn’t be happier with everything they did!

Rob Russo and the team from Fair and Square Contracting did a fantastic job on our siding and front door project. Rob was professional, responsive and treated us with the utmost level of courtesy. They have great attention to detail. The team worked hard despite less than ideal outdoor weather conditions to finish our project in a timely manner. I just had the best contractor experience I have ever had. Had my small master bath redone and it came out beautifully. Highly recommend Fair and Square – Rob the owner is so great to work with – he checks in every day both morning and afternoon, oversees the plumbing and electrical and any subs. Sergio the on-site foreman is a true craftsman whose work is impeccable – he takes such pride in his work and it shows. I also asked that when certain things were going to be done if they could do those on my day off so I could oversee it. They always accommodated my schedule! I had a couple of complications because of the small size of my room and Sergio figured out some clever and beautiful solutions – just really knows every aspect of construction. Every day they protected all my stuff while they worked and cleaned up at the end of the day and they dealt with my slight obsession with details as I laid out the marble tiles in the way I wanted so the pattern would look random! (They also put in a new skylight in the den). Working with their foreman was so easy cause he just knew what I was trying to do (an added bonus they are the contractors for the Nate and Jeremiah show on LI so you know they are good).

Rob and his team just finished a major renovation for our split-level ranch home in Bay Shore (new floors on two levels, kitchen, living room, dining area, main bedroom, closets, etc…) and to say their work is impeccable is an understatement. He is beyond professional and accommodating truly living up to the “Fair and Square” name. We have them working on the 2nd project in our house now (bathroom and 1/2 basement updates) and know it will be equally as amazing. Thank you Rob, Erin, Lisa, and team for everything. My wife and I hired Rob to do a complete gut remodel of our main bathroom this winter and Rob, Sergio, and everyone did an absolutely amazing job. Work was really well scheduled back to back every day and the timeframe we were originally given was pretty accurate. Rob was always extremely professional and available and always responded to any questions quickly and even went above and beyond to address things he noticed beyond the initial scope of work. Rob was always committed to making sure we were happy was always quick to respond to or address any concerns we had. All of Rob’s crew and electricians and plumbers were always extremely professional and easy to deal with. Rob always made sure to accommodate the details and small preferences in our design and was able to work out every detail of the tile layout and easily accommodate any personalized requests (e.g. shower niche, unusual grout). We are extremely happy with the result and everything has been holding up very well since. We look forward to using Rob and Fair and Square for more projects in the future!

Rob and his crew are amazing. We renovated our entire first floor, knocked down walls and made a larger kitchen. Their work is impeccable and we were updated every step of the way. There were no surprises. We could view the online schedule ourselves which was updated daily. Invoices were on there too so there were never any surprises for payment. Rob is on site daily to check the progress and sometimes jumps in himself to work! He cares about his work and wants to make sure his customer is happy 100%. Even after the job was done he still wants to make sure we are happy. 100% recommend.

Did a very good job and went beyond what was expected.

It was a pleasure working with Fair and Square. Rob always took the time to explain everything to us, answer all my questions, his crew was always on time to start working, the work site was left clean at the end of the day and the finished product came out better than we expected. The price was fair, the people were friendly and responsive, which was very important to us when looking for a contractor. Our experience with Fair and Square Contracting was positive all the way from start to finish of our kitchen remodeling project. Rob Russo explained everything to us and took the time to answer all our questions. Rob always answered his cell phone or called us back promptly when we called him. He was here every day to monitor the work being done by his crew. The men working for him are professional, hard-working individuals who did excellent work. The finished product is beautiful.

This is the second time using Fair & Square Contracting. Rob and his team did an amazing professional job. We cannot be any happier with this total renovation of our dining room and living room. It was a complete gut job down to the studs and what they rebuilt is just amazing. They even custom made my archway door. I totally recommend them for any job you may need. My basement stairs were deteriorating and needed to be replaced. Rob and his crew removed and disposed of the old stairs, and installed the new stairs. I just had some lovely work done at my mom’s house in Levittown by Rob / Fair and Square Contracting. He was recommended to us by the electrician we used for setting up a new laundry/spare bedroom. Rob was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He made some great recommendations about the project (creating a new closet wall, installing a new ceiling, trim, also some bathroom work of installing a grab bar, new door hardware, etc. He was very detailed oriented which really made everything come together so nicely. We have already spoken about a future project. The workers were pleasant as well. I would definitely recommend Fair and Square.

Fair and Square just completed my full bathroom expansion and renovation – and we couldn’t be happier – they have exceeded all of our very high expectations. Rob (the owner) is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and always responded to our communications either right away or in under 24 hours. This spoke about the integrity of the owner – which is as important as the work itself. We were given a timeline – and was so well organized between his men and the sub-contractors – the job was completed on time – with no open punch list. Another of the reasons we selected Fair & Square for the renovation was the materials used on the job – all of which were quality and not skimped on. Other contractors gave us estimates for junk and fewer quality materials (ex: regular drywall vs. waterproof drywall, hollow door vs. solid door, etc). I’ve experienced contractors being paid well and using the cheapest of everything – not in this renovation – quality material was used across the board. I also can’t write this review without talking about Fair & Square’s crew. Most were with the company for years – and their loyalty to Fair & Square as well as their craft is displayed in all they do. They are extremely professional and mindful of being in someone’s house (unlike some contractors who’s employees rant loud conversations blowing F-bombs all day). What blew us away – was how skilled, meticulous and pleasant they are, and what an organized and well-oiled machine they ran every day. His crew let no detail to question and they astounded us every day by the craftsmanship of their work. Even when I changed things up along the way – which provided all sorts of challenges in material and schedule for them – it was never a problem. Day in and day out – I was told that they wanted to make sure they did it to our preference and not to their schedule – and – with a smile! They were never rushed – but worked so efficiently. Additionally, they were extremely neat – which is important to me. Their skill sets, work ethics, and characters were consistent can be commended. I will add that very importantly – throughout the renovation we felt very confident in Rob and his crew. We felt like we were in very capable and skilled hands – and we were. I’ll end with – last night was the first night in my new bathroom. I went through every square inch of the room (wiping everything down for first-time use) – from top to bottom. Every square inch of the bathroom – is perfect – I found nothing to wonder about. We made the right choice – in fact, they are returning in January for another project. I would highly recommend them – if you are looking for a contractor – give Fair & Square a call – talk to the owner about the work you would like done – and see for yourself!

Rob and his crew at Fair & Square Contracting just finished a big project in my house. I would highly recommend using them. They did an amazing job and did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were done is exactly the time frame Rob gave us and went above and beyond in what needed to be done. They were on time every day and always left the place neat and clean. I was so happy with the turnout of everything that I will be using them again in April for renovation. Rob and his crew just finished in the downstairs of my house. New floors, walls, moldings, and painting. It looks like a brand new place. I am so happy with all the work they did and highly recommend them. They did everything exactly like they said. Very honest, clean and professional from start to finish.
